Noizland quintet offers a repertoire of original pieces by trying to create continuous harmonic-rhythmic short circuits originated by the striking contrast between the acoustic instruments and the electronics. Some of Noizland elements are the Avantgarde, the Central European jazz, the Klezmer tradition and the carillon repetitiveness. Do not think about the nonsense noise production: the Avantgarde is often considered as an extremely intellectual aimless experimental form. The melody remains central in Noizland instead, because Noizland (meant as jocose union of “noiz”, slang pronunciation of noise, and “land”) is the land where the five young interpreters live their research seriously and with a great melodic sense.
